CBD for health and happiness
BLOG BY THE TRUTH TEAM
Staying healthy and happy is something we all want. However, it can be easy to forget how important it is to take care of ourselves - both physically and mentally. Our brains are the most important organs in our bodies, and far more central to peak physical state than most of us realise. Basically, your health and happiness depend on what’s going on in your head.
We all have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) in our body that controls many of our internal processes. You can boost your ECS by taking the compounds it was designed for: cannabinoids. Our ECS is so heavily involved in our health that it can restore balance when we’re ill, or make bad lifestyle choices.
A growing number of respected scientists in the medical community think low levels of cannabinoids are the root cause of some devastating conditions. In fact, ClinicalEndocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CEDS) is an umbrella term for a group of illnesses which include fibromyalgia, migraine and irritable bowel syndrome.
Research reveals a close relationship between CBD, the ECS, the central nervous system and various neurotransmitters. [1] Although CBD oil won’t make you high, it can positively affect mood, acting on serotonin receptors and neurotransmitters that are involved in anxiety. This means CBD oil has a wealth of benefits that cover both health and happiness. Research has revealed antidepressant, anti-anxiety, antipsychotic, and general mood-regulating effects.
