10 natural ways to reduce stress - Part 2

Sharing 5 more tips on managing stress
Last week we spoke about stress and gave you 5/10 of our tips to manage it. Here are the rest of those tips...
#6 Sleep
Don’t forget the importance of sleep. When you are sleep deprived, you’re more prone to irritability and impatience, which can in turn cause issues within your relationships. Lack of quality sleep (under 6/7 hours) will also obviously reduce your energy which will have a knock-on effect in the quality of your work, your libido and your desire to exercise and eat healthily.
It goes full circle; as then with a lack of energy you will be reaching to caffeine and sugar stimulants to supplement this- which will only make your stress levels increase!
#7 Support System
Surround yourself with positive people as much as you can. We are a product of who we surround ourselves with! Get rid of the friendships that are toxic and bringing you down. There is nothing worse for already existing stress than to be surrounded by negativity, judgement, or lack of support.
Make sure you’re opening up to the quality people in your life about the stress you’re feeling so they are aware and can possibly help.
#8 Work smarter, not harder
In 2017/18 stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 44% of all work-related ill health cases and 57% of all working days lost due to ill health. [5]
It is easy to fixate on excelling at work and as a result put an overwhelming amount of pressure on yourself. But working yourself into the ground is not only going to seriously affect you mentally; but in turn, will affect your immune system increasing your sick days and affect the quality of your work. When the workload is getting too much- know when to delegate.
#9 CBD
Research reveals a close relationship between CBD, the ECS, the central nervous system and various neurotransmitters. [6] We have even created a proprietary Rest Blend which has the ingredient L-tryptophan. This ingredient is an essential amino acid that helps the body make proteins and certain brain-signaling chemicals. Your body changes L-tryptophan into a brain chemical called serotonin and melatonin. These chemical messengers help control your mood and sleep. Read more about it here. Our customers have found that CBD has positively affected their mood and sleep quality.
One of our pleased customers on Trust Pilot recently stated that: “Only a few minutes after taking a dose I started to calm. Now a year on, my colleagues, friend and most of all family, cannot believe the difference.”[7]
#10 Seek help
Open up to a friend, partner, family member if you’re going through a hard time. When nothing else is working, and stress is only building up and getting worse- get the help you need and book in with a specialist.
Talking through your stress, working out what is the catalyst for it, and how to manage it more successfully will stop it from escalating further than a mere moment.
